Diamond

Diamonds have always been long sought after, and always held in the highest of gem company. Though in ancient times, the stone was often misidentified and many stones thought to be diamond were other minerals. Many myths came about as to how to make the gems grow larger, and also ones on how to get more of them. Some believed that if two diamonds were placed together, they would mate and produce offspring. It was also believed that diamonds, if watered with May dew, would then grow larger. Others also held the belief that diamonds could sicken and die, loosing their brilliant luster. Most likely these 'dead' diamonds just needed a good bath.
